Family Camp - September 5-6, 2009
Family Camp has been scheduled for Labor Day weekend, September 5-6, 2009.
In addition, we have opened-up the weekend to include all Glisson families. Families of current and recent summer campers are invited to join in the fun on Saturday. This summer we've heard from numerous parents, "When can I try the Alpine Tower? I want to do the Zip Line and swim in the new pool!" Well, this is your chance.
Participants will arrive mid-morning on Saturday, September 5th. Day participants will depart after dinner on Saturday, or after campfire that evening if they are able to stay until after dark. Overnight guests will depart after lunch Sunday. This schedule will make it possible for all families to enjoy a Glisson experience while being back home in time for Labor Day cookouts.
Details and costs can be found on the reservation form below. Please note the following:
- Costs for day participants have not yet been finalized.
- The weekend will include traditional Glisson summer camp activities and experiences.
- Overnight families will stay in cabins and will eat all four meals in the Dining Hall.
- All participants will enjoy Singing-on-the-Porch, worship in our beloved Chapel, swim in the new pool, face new challenges on our Challenge Course and even enjoy s'mores around a Glisson campfire.
All Glisson families - former campers, former staff and current camper families - are invited to re-connect with this very special place. All types of families are welcome, including singles, single-parent and extended families, as well as grandparents raising grandchildren. The only requirements to bring your family are that you: (a) are an adult alumnus of Camp Glisson or the family of a current camper; (b) possess a desire to have fun; and (c) (for overnighters) have a willingness to sleep in a cabin with bunk beds just as we did when we were campers.
