Aldersgate UMC
- April 17-19 saw a volunteer group from Aldersgate UMC in Augusta here at Glisson. Above left, you see part of the crew working on the boys' bath house project while others are on the renovation of old cabin B-1 which will be the new home to the camp store.
- Moving the store involves preparing the new location (above left) and also getting the store inventory ready for the move from its current location in Down Under.
Due West UMC
- After much of the work scheduled for Great Day of Service in March was rained-out, a group from Due West UMC joined us on April 19th to continue work on the Adirondack shelters at the Glisson Outpost.
- Everybody pitched in and helped us make progress toward completing this project which will actually increase the number of campers who can enjoy the Adventure Outpost program this summer.
Great Day of Service 2008
- On March 29, 2008, groups from Gainesville First UMC, Cumming First UMC and Roswell UMC all sent Great Day of Service teams to work at the Glisson Outpost. Groups helped dismantle platform tents (above left) and build new Adirondack Shelters.
- Here you see more work being done on one of the Adirondack Shelters, and also a crew creating additional beds for our Outpost vegetable garden.
