Adventure Outpost

Adventure Outpost is our outdoor adventure camp for rising 2nd graders through rising 12th graders. This program is designed is designed for campers who desire to have a wilderness experience and grow in their faith.  While staying at the Outpost, campers stay in platform tents, participate in counselor/camper led devotions, learn wilderness skills they can use, and eat delicious, hot meals prepared by the summer staff in the outdoor kitchen.  Younger campers will play games on the expansive Outpost field, go on day hikes to local waterfalls, and tube on the Chestatee River.  Older campers will have the opportunity to experience extended overnight adventures.  Older campers register for one of many different adventure tracks offered at the Adventure Outpost.  All campers begin their week at the Outpost located on the grounds of Camp Glisson.  Then campers travel across north Georgia and North Carolina to experience new and challenging activities.  Adventure activities include climbing and rappelling, kayaking, mountain biking, fly fishing and rafting. Throughout the week, there is an Outpost Guide who helps guide the campers and counselors spiritually. Through all of these activities campers will experience the grace of God while living in His creation. They’ll have the chance to come face to face with Jesus and learn more about His unrelenting love.
