Climbing & Kayaking
On this adventure campers will spend two days and two nights away from the Outpost. On the first day of the adventure campers will travel to Tallulah Gorge where they will hike into this beautiful canyon. At the bottom of the gorge campers will have the opportunity to slide down Sliding Rock. The adventure group will continue to travel into North Carolina where they will establish camp near the rock face they will climb. The rock face is approximately ninety feet tall and offers rewarding challenges to beginner and experienced climbers. As a day trip campers will kayak several miles of the Chestatee River located in Dahlonega. When in camp, the campers will learn wilderness skills, participate in creek hikes, make candles, play field games, care for a garden, help with a service projects and take part in team initiatives.
